When Is The Best Time To Visit Pensacola, Florida?

We bet when you think of Florida, you think about sunshine and beaches on hot summer days, but do you know the best time to visit Pensacola? Pensacola is no stranger to vacationers, but insiders will say to visit during the off-season to avoid the spring break and summer crowds.

Of course, we want you to visit us any time of the year! We have compiled a few recommendations for each season so you can get the most out of your visit to Pensacola, whether you stay during the peak of the heat or when you just need to get away.

Weekends In Springtime

If you want to make the most of your time in Pensacola while the birds are singing and the flowers are blooming, there are a couple of things you can do downtown before Monday rolls around.

Every Saturday from 9 am to 2 pm is The Palafox Farmer’s Market, located at Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza which is just a quick walk down the street from Sole Inn & Suites.

On Sunday, you must have brunch. Brunch is a favorite for locals and visitors alike, and Downtown Pensacola is home to many locally owned and operated restaurants that serve incredible brunch menus. Just walking down Palafox, you will find yourself following your nose to the most delicious-smelling food. Or you can ask us for recommendations while you are staying with us!

Summer Family Fun

Just a short drive over the bridge from Downtown Pensacola will take you over to Pensacola Beach, where you’ll find all the seafood and sand your heart desires. But did you know there is a Gulf Islands National Seashore park?

Fort Pickens is open year-round and worth the excursion just a couple of minutes down the road from the main beach access.

The National Naval Aviation Museum at NAS Pensacola is also a great escape from the heat and a great time for the entire family.

Foo Foo Fall

One of the very best things about Pensacola in fall is Foo Foo Fest, a 12-day celebration full of creativity, art, music, events, new surprises. Sole Inn and Suites is the perfect place to stay and be within walking distance of elevated art, culture, and ample opportunities for your next Instagram post.

The best part? It takes place during the most ideal time to visit the area!

Happy Holiday From The Beach

You definitely won’t find any snow here in Pensacola, but we still consider it a white Christmas with our white sandy beaches. If you haven’t seen a palm tree lit up like a Christmas tree, you are totally missing out on the fun! All along Palafox, beautiful string lights sparkle in the evening as locals and visitors shop, eat, and be merry.

Throughout the holiday season, we get right into the spirit of things with parades, events with Santa Claus, and of course, our annual Winterfest downtown.

Whenever you decide to visit, be sure to book your stay with us at Sole Inn and Suites, and you can count on something exciting going on to make it memorable.
